Earlier this year, I took a leap of faith and became a travel advisor.
It wasn't a decision I made lightly. Between raising a family, running our RV life on the side, and just generally being someone who has always loved planning trips for other people anyway, becoming certified felt like the natural next step. But taking the actual leap still felt like a big one.
The milestone that made it real
Not long after I started, I hit a milestone that genuinely floored me: 13 bookings and over $12,700 in vacation sales, all from friends, family, past clients, and referrals. Countless lessons learned. Endless gratitude.
To every single person who has trusted me with your vacation, or referred someone my way, thank you. That trust is not something I take for granted, and it's the reason I keep showing up and getting better at this every day.
What I've learned so far
A few things have stood out to me since I started:
- No trip is too small to quote. A weekend getaway deserves the same care as a two-week international vacation. I'll happily quote either.
- Every trip type is different, and that's the fun part. Disney vacations, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, or the trip of a lifetime โ each one comes with its own planning quirks, and I genuinely enjoy figuring out what makes each one work for the specific family booking it.
- Continuing education matters. I've kept diving into extra training (like my recent deep dive into Universal Studios planning) because the more I learn, the better I can plan for you.
- Referrals mean everything. Every time someone sends a friend my way, it tells me they trusted me enough to put their name on it. That's not something I'll ever take lightly.
Why I do this
I've always been the person planning the group trip, researching the best hotel, comparing park tickets, and building the spreadsheet nobody asked for but everyone ends up using. Becoming a travel advisor just means I finally get to do that full-time, for more families than just my own.
Whether you're dreaming about a Disneyland trip, a Universal Studios vacation, a cruise, or something completely different, I want to help you get there without the stress of planning it all yourself.
Let's plan your next trip
I'm still learning, growing, and becoming a better travel advisor every single day, and I'm genuinely excited for what's next. Here's to many more adventures together โ thank you for believing in me.
