Sometimes the simple, peaceful stops turn out to be the best ones. Pecan Valley RV Park in Junction, Texas was exactly that for us; a quiet little Texas Hill Country gem tucked inside a working pecan grove along the North Llano River.

Pecan Valley RV Park sits in Junction, Texas, right in the heart of the Hill Country, along the North Llano River. It's a solid stop if you're routing through central Texas, close enough to I-10 to be convenient, but quiet and shaded enough that it feels like a real getaway once you're parked.

What we loved about staying here
The pecan grove setting. The park is built right inside a working pecan grove, so you're camped under a canopy of mature trees instead of sitting out in open sun all day. It makes a huge difference in comfort, especially in the warmer months.
The animals. Deer wander through the property, and there are chickens (and goats, depending on when you visit) roaming around too. If you're traveling with kids, this alone makes it a memorable stop; ours couldn't get enough of the rooster strutting around camp.
Quiet country nights. No highway noise, no crowded rows of rigs on top of each other — just genuinely peaceful Hill Country evenings.
Big-rig friendly. If you're towing a larger fifth wheel or motorhome, this is a real consideration when booking anywhere, and Pecan Valley handled our rig without any issues.
Is Pecan Valley RV Park worth the stop?
If you're looking for a resort-style RV park with a pool and a packed activity schedule, this isn't that, and that's exactly the point. This is a stop for RVers who want a slower pace, some shade, a little wildlife, and a genuinely peaceful place to reset for a night or two on a longer haul through Texas.
We'd absolutely stay here again. It's the kind of stop that reminds you RV life isn't only about the big-name destinations, some of the best memories come from the quiet, in-between stops too.
